The functionality of in-ground sign posts is easy to describe and understand. We install metal signposts for the purpose of standing up straight and holding up plates according to messaging and signaling systems, but there is significant engineering and material design that goes along with the manufacturing of these items. Pole materials need to withstand not only regional climate conditions but also natural disasters such as high winds, hail, and winter storms; moreover, in-ground signposts also need to feature mechanisms that reduce the amount of damage and injury in case of vehicular collisions.
U-Channel Posts

- Hot rolled from high quality, high tensile rail steel 80,000 PSI.
- U-Channels are hot dipped galvanized ASTM A123 specification.
- Galvanizing after cutting and hole punching.
- The .375 inch holes are punched full length, starting 1 inch from the top on 2” centres.
Square Posts
The Telespar sign support system is available with galvanized steel tubing having perforated holes on all four sides posts which are made with 7/16″ knockouts, 1″ on the center on all four sides.
The tubing is produced through a unique manufacturing process that permits tubular sections of different sizes to telescope into the next larger size. It is complemented by a variety of compatible fittings, accessories, nuts, bolts and simple installation tools.
The engineered system of integrated parts enables you to mount signs back-to-back and on adjacent sides. It is designed to make adjustment, reinforcement and splicing fast and easy. By utilizing a square tube, Telespar exhibits superior wind load capabilities and torsional stability.
